THAT Councillor Garnet Thompson be nominated as Chair of the Emergency Services Committee for the October 9th, 2013 meeting.

THAT nominations be closed and Councillor Garnet Thompson be appointed as Chair for October 9th, 2013 meeting.

THAT the Minutes of the September 10th, 2013 meeting be approved.

THAT the Year to Date Expenditure Reports dated to August 31st, 2013 and Cheque Register Summary Reports dated October 2013 be approved.

THAT the Hastings-Quinte Emergency Services Committee recommends to County Council the donation of an automatic external defibrillator (AED’s) to the Prince Edward Point Bird Observatory.

THAT the Hastings-Quinte Emergency Services Committee supports the actions of staff in submitting a Full Proposal Submission application for 100% funding by the Federal Government of a Research and Development project to the Canadian Safety and Security Program (CSSP) entitled “Economic Value of Community Paramedicine Programs”.

THAT the Hastings-Quinte Joint Emergency Services Committee recommends to County Council that the Warden and Community Emergency Management Co- ordinator be authorized to sign the Annual Emergency Management Program Statement of Completion form for Hastings County.

THAT the Hastings/Quinte Emergency Services Committee receive the statistical report.

THAT Other Business items a) through c) be received.

THAT the meeting of October 9th, 2013 be adjourned.
