Hastings/Quinte Long-Term Care Committee

THAT Councillor Paul Jenkins be nominated as Committee Chair.

THAT the Minutes of the November 13, 2019 meeting be approved.

THAT the Year to Date Expenditure Report dated to November 30, 2019 and Cheque Register Summary Reports for both Hastings and Centennial Manor, and Hastings and Centennial Manor TRUST dated December 2019 and January 2020 be approved.

THAT the Long Term Care Committee recommend to County Council that it receive the LTC homes report on the proposed detailed Multi-year Staffing Enhancement Plan for a gradual increase in hours of care for the residents in both Hastings – Centennial Manor a nd Hastings Manor.

THAT the Hastings / Quinte Long Term Care Committee receive and file the correspondence from the City of Belleville requesting the Ontario Government to halt the closures of; mergers of; and cuts to our local health care services including Public Health Un its, land ambulance services, hospitals and long-term care homes.

THAT the Hastings / Quinte Long-term Care Committee defer the decision on the recommendation until the next meeting of the Committee.

THAT the Long-term Care Committee approve the award of Tender number T-217-2019 – Chiller Replacement Hastings Manor to the low bidder, Hamilton Smith for their price of $646,231.00.

THAT the Hastings / Quinte LTC Committee receive the November and December 2019 report submitted by the Director of LTC/Administrator.

THAT the January 15, 2020 meeting be adjourned.
